Car Rental Tuzla — What You Need to Know Before Flying
Planning a flight to Tuzla and considering a rental car? Here is everything you need to know — from booking to vehicle pickup at Tuzla Dubrave Airport.
Book in Advance — Especially in Peak Season
July and August are peak season at Tuzla Airport. Wizz Air and Ryanair bring hundreds of passengers daily, and the number of available vehicles is limited. If you are flying between June and September, we recommend booking at least 2-3 weeks in advance. The price is the same as a last-minute booking, but you have a vehicle guarantee.
Prepare Your Documents
At vehicle pickup you will need: a valid driving licence (minimum 2 years of experience), ID document (passport or national ID) and the security deposit of 500 KM. The driving licence must be in the name of the person collecting the vehicle — you cannot pick up a car on someone else's licence.
Understand the Fuel Policy
We use a full-to-full policy — the vehicle is provided with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. If you do not fill it up completely, we charge the difference at the market price plus a service fee. There are several petrol stations near the Tuzla motorway — BBI and Eurogas are the closest to the airport.
Check Your Insurance
Basic TPL insurance (third-party liability) is always included in the price. If you want complete protection — no worrying about minor scratches or damage — we recommend Super Casco insurance. It eliminates the deposit and covers all damage to the vehicle.
Plan Where You Are Driving
With a rental car you are free to travel throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. Permitted destinations include Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia and North Macedonia — just let us know when booking. All other countries require special permission. A Green Card is included for the listed countries.
What to Expect at the Airport
Our representative waits for you directly at the arrivals exit with a "Tuzla Car Rental" sign. You do not need to look for a shuttle, office or counter. You sign the agreement on the spot, receive the keys and off you go. The whole process takes 5-10 minutes.
